Join our team in a recently created role as part of our Executive Leadership Team (ELT), reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
About The Role
As a senior leader reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for proactively seeking & identifying opportunities to position the business for growth, with the ability to approach problem solving through a forward focussed, owner’s mindset.

Managing ELK’s financial and accounting practises

Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts

Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for inclusion in the monthly board pack

Overseeing the effective, efficient, accurate & timely delivery of weekly payroll
-
Leading a capable, stable & experienced team of 2 with the support of an outsourced accounting function
-
Closely collaborating with your colleagues and senior managers to add value and support data driven, fact based, commercial decision making
What We’ll Love About You
You have a love for finance, accounting & business concepts. You have a natural talent for numbers and analysis, coupled with a strong understanding of multi-channel fashion retailing across bricks and mortar retail, wholesale and online environments gained in (ideally!) a similar, medium sized business. You may have owned or run your own small business in the past, and come accompanied with a strong understanding of the need to be future focussed and think creatively in order to balance risk and reward.

Who are you?
You are a perfect match with:

At least 7+ years experience in a combined senior finance and accounting role
-
Bachelors or Masters qualifications in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or Business Law
-
Professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA)
-
Experience in a similar, medium sized business with exposure to multi-channel retail environment (encompassing bricks and mortar retail, online and wholesale) – fashion experience highly regarded
-
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures including general ledger, month end / year end close process, international accounting, preparing and analysing financial statements, reports and making improvements to fiscal tools and systems
-
Experience managing teams responsible for accounts payable, receivable, payroll and accounting
-
Intermediate to advanced software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages (MYOB preferred)

MARKETING CONTENT MANAGER
The ELK Marketing Content Manager is responsible for creating, developing, and managing the workflow process to execute ELK’s content storytelling strategy and marketing initiatives via all brand channels, including B2B and B2C. This role is responsible for amplifying ELK’s tone of voice to build brand awareness and audience engagement.

About The Role
We are looking to appoint an experienced and exceptional Marketing Content Manager. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working collaboratively with our Head of Creative, this invaluable individual will design and execute the entire content creation process, from inception to publication, ensuring consistent, on brand and flawless content is delivered on time and in line with strategy. As the ELK storytelling authority, the Marketing Content Manager will implement ELK's content strategy (including Social Media) supporting all brand channels to build brand equity, fashionability and inspired customer engagement.
Your responsibilities will include however not be limited to:

Developing and leading content creation and production through copywriting and briefs for scheduled seasonal plans and adhoc opportunities.

Collaborating closely with design and online teams, ensuring consistent, efficient compilation of online product descriptions ensuring accuracy, consistency of brand voice and SEO optimisation.

Defining and managing content production priorities, including requests from wider ELK teams (online, retail and wholesale).

Implementing systems and improving processes to optimise content production process and quality.

Providing accurate/insightful reporting on the performance of content activity and media monitoring whilst identifying new opportunities.

Delivering a collaborative and transparent management style ensuring goals are set and aligned with company strategy.

Being the authority on the ELK tone of voice and ensuring it is consistently implemented across all brand channels and touchpoints.

Developing, implementing and communicating social media strategy, delivering on targeted brand awareness, engagement, reach and growth.

Supporting marketing, online, retail and wholesale teams in the creation of brand content, social media activations, events, online opportunities and brand activities with the support of the Social Media Assistant.

Connecting and managing outreach with influencers, personalities, collaborators, media, stylists, influencers, personalities, brand partners and the like.

Identifying and developing opportunities for channel collaborations and partnerships.

Producing press releases and packs for all activations and external communication.

Operating ethically and transparently and being a solid advocate for our sustainability journey.

Actively participating in the development and communication of our annual Transparency Report.
Who are you?
You are a perfect match with:

4+ years’ experience in an editorial, journalist or agency role developing content storytelling tailored to multiple channels adapted to brand tone of voice.

Highly proficient with the English language, ideally accompanied by a Diploma or Degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, Media and Communications or similar.
-
Experience with delivering written content for campaigns across owned and multiple social channels.
-
Strong understanding of the fashion industry, and media landscape across beauty, fashion, lifestyle, culture, etc.
-
Superior presentation and pitching skills with a portfolio ready to share and show off!

High level writing, editing, proofreading, layout/design, professional printing/publishing skills, including ability to present concepts verbally.

Sound knowledge and appreciation of current trends in digital and social media.

Experience working with content analytics and business marketing tools to optimise content channels.

About The Role
The primary purpose of the role is to manage and execute ELK's presence on all social media sites and related platforms. Working closely with our Marketing and on-line team, the Social Media Assistant is central to supporting a range of strategic, scheduled and ad hoc marketing and brand awareness initiatives spread across the channel encompassing online, social, retail and wholesale.
A 'day in the life' entails however is not limited to;

Increasing engagement, online traffic through the delivery of brand enhancing content that maximises sales and brand equity.
Our 'must haves'
-
Two to four years’ experience in a marketing, communications or an advertising role (preferable in fashion). Beauty/health/lifestyle also well regarded.

A Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Media, Communications or similar.

Demonstrated copywriting skills with a natural flare for creative expression and an innate understanding of brand identity, tone and tailoring content.

Impeccable time management with the ability to work calmly, quickly and efficiently whilst handling multiple projects with varying deadlines.
